faculty at all the campuses across the country. CHAT has faculty who
have excelled both in academics and in industry. Many of the faculty
have International qualification and work experience. This gives an
opportunity to our students to gain skills and expertise to emerge
as competent global hospitality service providers. The faculty at
College of Hospitality & Tourism functions as mentors and
facilitators, which make learning an interactive experience and
hence more enriching. They are the foremost authorities in their
fields, respected not only in the academic community but also in the

Ms. Sharmila
Nisudan, LCGI - Associate Director, CHAT
Sharmila Nisudan is the first person from India to have received
the award of LCGI in Bakery from the City and Guilds Institute,
the licentiateship is a senior award giving due recognition to her
professional development. She has been offered a membership of both
the City & Guilds Association London and the ILM. She is Quality
Verifier for the City & Guilds programs. Carrying nearly a decade
of Industrial experience in Food Production (Patisserie) and five
years of teaching experience joined Rai Foundation in 2001.
She hales from Andhra Pradesh, in south India, born and educated
in Hyderabad, a city with a wide blend of cultures and traditions,
Sharmila has worked for ITC Windsor Manor Sheraton, soon after her
Hotel Management and run her own Bakery called "Choco Choice"
in Bangalore. Then she moved on to New Delhi and contributed as
a freelancer in introducing new products at different Restaurants
and Bakeries and been Production and Development Manager for Open
Oven, worked as Assistant Manager Pastry Shop with Nirula's chain.
Additionally, she has been a Convener for the 'International Abilympics'
in Dec 2003, and recently has developed programs and courseware
for the YPS at Chandigarh and a special culinary course for the
Sree Ram School Aravalli for the Children with special needs.
She went into pursuing the 'Advance Diploma in Culinary Arts' and
'International Diploma in Teacher's Training' both from City &
Guilds, U.K. to better understand the critical areas of a learner,
now heading the College of Hospitality and Tourism under the aegis
of Rai Foundation at Gurgaon. She says "We as trainers set
the standards and mold the future of several young minds. It's our
duty to give the best of the best." Last but not the least
Sharmila Nisudan is keen on bridging the gap between the industry
and the institutes. She has wide plans of expanding CHAT and bringing
in new short term programs to facilitate vocational learning to
the masses. With a strong determination, she says "the transformation
may not occur overnight, but it doesn't take long choosing the right
path to structure the courses, we are also in touch with the Indian
Culinary Forum to associate our student chefs to be active members
of their forum and we are looking upon other areas of hospitality
entities for tie-ups.

Mr. Sameer Bandhu - Consultant Associate Dean
He has 17 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry in the
Operations, Manpower Development, and Project Development and Higher
Education fields. He has the experience of working with the leading
Hotel chains like Hyatt Regency, ITC Hotels, and the Best western
International.
He played a key role in introducing the contemporary British
Hospitality Education system in India. He has the experience of
working with the British Educational Bodies like Thames Valley
University, Sheffield-Hellam University, HEQC and BTEC-Edexcel.
He passed out of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering
Technology and Applied Nutrition, Bangalore with a Diploma in Hotel
Management His subsequent academic accomplishments include a British
Hospitality Degree from the Thames Valley University, an Indian
Business Management Degree. Moreover, He is registered with
Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning for Master's in Financial
Management.
A Food and Beverage Service professional to start with, he now has
a multifaceted expertise of this field. His specializations have
been Food and Beverage Operations and Management, Business
Statistics, Financial and Management Accounting, Director of
Studies, Facilities Planning and Management.
Prior to joining the Rai's as a Consultant he had worked as a Dean
for R.M. Institutes (India), setting up and successfully managing
their Joint Venture with UGHRL's Shilon Resort at Shimla.
With Rai's he has worked closely for the development of curriculum
for the 3 years BA in Hospitality Management and Edexcel UK's
External Validation. He is still working in conjunction with the
Dean towards the development of the College of Hospitality and
Tourism as the institute par exemplar

Ms. Anuradha Sharma, Professor- Hospitality &
Tourism
After completing her schooling from one of the prestigious convent
schools of Delhi she has done her professional courses in
Hospitality Management and Tourism from some of the best institutes
in Delhi and has been trained in computers in U.K She is a graduate
in commerce from Delhi University.
She has done her training in Taj Hotel, Mumbai and has worked in
Maurya Hotel at the front office and the Food & Beverage
Departments.
She has been teaching in various institutes of repute for more than
two decades and is fully involved in teaching & training them.
She has arranged various workshops for students and faculty so that
they are updated with the latest techniques and systems.
She has been a paper setter and external examiner for subjects like
Accommodation Services for senior secondary school examinations
(CBSE) for several years.

Mr. B.P. Sarkar - Professor
Mr. B P Sarkar, Professor, is Master of Statistics (with
specialization in Econometrics and Planning) from Indian Statistical
Institute and MA in Management Studies (with specialization in
Finance) from University of Leeds, UK. He completed Advanced Course
in Tourism and Diploma in Marketing specializing in Tourism from
International Union of Official Travel Organizations (predecessor of
World Tourism Organization).
Mr. Sarkar started his career as a Lecturer in Indian Statistical
Institute before working his way up as Director (Market Research) in
the Department of Tourism, Government of India. He has more than
twenty-five years of experience in the Hospitality and Tourism
Industry in the Government, Public Sector, and Private Sector.
During his more than twenty years service in India Tourism
Development Corporation, he held important positions as Deputy
Secretary, Project Coordinator, Regional Manager (Eastern Region)
General Manager (Consultancy Services) and General Manager (Ashok
Travels and Tours).
His varied and rich experience in Integrated Management including
administration, finance, management information systems, project
management, as well as operations helps relating practical
experience with classroom situation.
Before joining the College of Hospitality and Tourism, Mr. Sarkar
was a Faculty Member in the Institute for Studies in Industrial
Development, an institute under the umbrella of Indian Council of
Social Science Research, Ministry of Human Resource Development,
Government of India.

Mahesh Chander Langoo - Consultant Associate
Professor & Program Leader, Hospitality Management
He passed out from IHM Lucknow in 1991 and joined Le Meridien as
Training Captain. He has ten years of experience in the Food and
Beverage Service Industry with the leading hotel chains and over
five years of Academic experience.
He has quite a wide range of academic expertise in Food and
Beverage Operations and Marketing. He has completed his Post Diploma
in Marketing Management in 2001.
He is heading the Hospitality Management program since August 2005
and has performed remarkably well in mentoring students.

Chef Rajdeep Bhaiya - Asst. Professor
With over 22 years of experience in food production in India's
leading hotel chain, Chef Rajdeep brings with him vast culinary
experience to share with his students. He has won various culinary
awards including the best carver awarded by Delhi Tourism. He was
working as acting Executive Chef before he joined the Rai
Foundation.
He is a diploma holder from IHMCT&AN, Mumbai and his expertise
lies in Indian, Continental and vegetable carving besides
administrative skills required for managing professional food
preparation area. Apart from his dexterity with the knife, he is a
great magician and he has performed in Rai Campuses several times
and well appreciated for his skills.

Siddhartha Sankar Banerjee - Senior Lecturer
Mr. Banerjee is having total 16 years of experience (12 Years with
Industry and 4 years in teaching). He has over twelve years
experience in the Hospitality Industry in the F&B operation and
Management with Leading Hotel and Restaurant chains in New Delhi and
Kuwait, like Le Meridian, The Park, Hotel Marina, Nirula's, Apple
Bees, Olf Gang Puck Café, Marche'. He completed his Diploma
in Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition from
Indian Institute of Science and Management, 1991, Ranchi.
Mr Banerjee, CHI- F&B Service and Food Production from AH &
LA, has rich experience with the academic program of Themes Valley
University, U. K., for their Undergraduate program. Before joining
the College of Hospitality and Tourism in 2004, Mr. Banerjee was a
faculty member at R.M. Institute New Delhi, for one year. He brings
to the classroom his rich practical experience from the industry,
from both food production and service.

Ms. Meera Khanna: Consultant Senior Lecturer
Ms. Meera Khanna is a Hospitality Management Graduate from the
Thames Valley University, London. On successful completion of the 4
year Degree in Hospitality Management in 2002, Meera enrolled
herself for MA Hospitality Management, from the University of Derby,
UK, which she completed in 2003. She is also an Associate member of
world's leading hospitality association - HCIMA. She has done
in-depth research in Leadership and Change Management

Manish Shukla, Senior Lecturer, Front Office
Management
He is a Diploma Holder in HMCT from Rizvi College of Hotel
Management, Mumbai. He not only has an academic experience but also
has 8 years of on-the-job industrial experience. He has worked with
Apartment Hotel Moon Valley, Dubai as Front Office Manager; Hotel
Park Plaza Royal Palms, Mumbai as an Asst. Training Manager; Sun n
Sand Hotel, Shirdi; Choice Hotel's Quality Inn, Mumbai; Kohinoor
College of Hotel Management, Mumbai. He worked there in various
capacities like front office, sales & marketing, training &
development, soft skills, etc. He has been awarded as the Best
Faculty by Kohinoor College of Hotel Management, Mumbai. He has also
attended a Seminar on Hospitality organized by Thailand University
in Bangkok. His outstanding capabilities and practical examples
while teaching have made him a favorite among students. He is
interested in molding the new generation to become good hoteliers,
which is why he has moved from the industrial set up to education.

Chetna Khaneja, Sr. Lecturer
Chetna Khaneja did her diploma in Hotel Management, Catering &
Nutrition from I.H.M. Pusa, New Delhi. She is also a graduate from
Delhi University. She has two years of teaching experience. She has
5years experience in Hotel Holiday Inn, New Delhi and 2 years
experience in Hotel Sea Princess, Bombay. Before joining Rai, she
was working as area manager for a leading Housekeeping firm handling
MNC's like Microsoft, NIIT and PVR cinemas etc.
She is presently teaching Housekeeping, Hospitality Supervision,
and Managing Human Resources and actively handling Student
Administration of College of Hospitality and Tourism, Gurgaon.

Anjali Anand, Sr. Lecturer
CShe passed out of IHM Mumbai in 1994 and has 11 years of
experience with Leading Hotels and Academic Institutions like The
Leela and Taj Air Caterers, Rizvi College - Mumbai, Asan Memorial
College-Chennai and IPS Academy-Indore.
Her Key area of expertise is Continental Production, but she is
equally adept with other cuisines too.

Sangeeta Shahane, Lecturer
Sangeeta Shahane is a Lecturer for ' Life Skills' at the Gurgaon
campus. She has been associated with COLLEGES OF RAI FOUNDATION for
the last one year. She has done her Post graduation in English
literature from Jiwaji University Gwalior. She has a total work
experience of around ten years. She started her career as a lecturer
in Aurangabad and later on, she moved to Delhi. Her industry
experience involves conducting ' Effective Communication Skill
workshops and Training programs' for corporate sector, especially
five star hotels such as Maurya Sheraton, Vasant Continental,
Radisson etc. She has also undertaken assignments with DHL courier
services as a free lancer. Before her joining Rai Foundation, she
was with Wipro Spectramind where she was entrusted with the
responsibility of conducting soft skill training program for the new
joiners.
